Life Is Good!

tablet 1

Life is good! I have a roof over my head, food to eat, dogs to bite, another cat to chase – and I’m still loved despite those last two. The best part of life here? My own tablet with internet access!

What more could a guy ask for?

A picture update!

So tonight we decided to break out a costume that we bought clearance shopping after Christmas. The plan was to put this on Sylvester, he’d be a little grumpy about it, so we’d make it up to him by giving him a few treats for being a good sport. Nope, it didn’t work that well. All he did was walk backwards trying to get out of the costume until he was backed in to a corner. It didn’t go well, so he got a few more treats as an apology. Then we let him have a little eat mommy and Rebel time.

Loving Life

So lately we’ve been posting only pictures of Sylvester. I figured it was time to give an update on how things are with our little buddy.

He’s still not getting along with Mooz, but we keep them separated when we’re not around. And when we are around we keep them apart as best we can.

It’s been over a year and he still likes to push our buttons to see what he can get away with (like hopping up on the kitchen table and batting unattended cell phones around).

He’s learned that it’s fun to chase Rebel around, and also to be chased around by Rebel. Rebel, even though he’s a 16 year old dog, absolutely loves to play with Sylvester. Last night I mentioned that Peyton really missed Millie when she passed away. I fear we’re heading for a role reversal when Rebel’s time comes. Lianne isn’t as worried, since Sylvester is so resilient she thinks he’ll move on fairly quickly.

Sylvester has also learned that I’m a big pushover and all he has to do is climb up my leg and reach out to me while I’m in the kitchen and he’ll probably get a treat.

He often enjoys snuggling up against me under my right arm at bed time. That’s if he’s in the mood to snuggle. Some nights he sleeps at my feet, and sometimes he doesn’t even join us. He can be fickle.

All in all it’s been a great year (and then some) with our newest little one.
